A tiny SF app for when you just need to find a trash can.

TrashRat is for dog walks, coffee runs, park hangs, and those weirdly specific city moments when you are standing there holding trash and thinking, where is the nearest bin.

What it is

It uses your location plus San Francisco open data to show nearby cans on a map.

Why I made it

I wanted to create something cute for our city.

Privacy

No data is collected or stored by this web app. Location searches are not recorded; location data is only used for queries and then tossed out.

Monetization

I'm not making any money off this. There is no money to be made. I'm actually losing a little bit of money. But if you like this and want to see more stuff like this for our city, consider donating a few bucks.
